Horse Camp

Mads had a week at horse camp..a fabulous birthday present from two of her grandma's! Thanks Kay & Deb! She went last year as well..and just loves it. This year her horse was named Dancer and he took great care of her. I think we will start giving her lessons after summer break..she is just a natural at it.

The place we do horse camp at is M Bar C Ranch and the do some amazing things..check them out! They couldn't be more fabulous!

We spent the day at the Locks in Ballard.

I have never been and it was just a stunning day. My brother and Teresa and their two little munchkins are up from San Diego for the weekend so we had a fab day!

Lizzy..the Lizard

So... I am behind..with everything! Laundry, photo's, posting..life..not orders though..getting those out the door as I have sizing and tee's..always the case. I wanted to share Lizzy the Lizard..she will be available on the site tomorrow night..tomorrow is a sewing day..so we will sew and I have loads of it..but wanted to share.

Oh my gosh..also you guys have to watch WipeOut! I am the one ususally cringing and feeling horrid when someone is hurt..can't stand the site of people in pain but the Big Balls..almost made me pee my pants it was so funny..darn darn funny! Mads and I just laughed and laughed..it was laughter therapy..I don't think I have laughed that hard in years..seriously funny show.

Tiffany Gretchen Caro

I also wanted to post about my best friend..Tiffany..passed away a year ago yesterday..she was 35 and way to young to die. We met on the bars in 4th grade..she was wearing a smiley face tshirt and I was wearing a rainbow tee..I also had a broken arm which didn't stop me from twirling around the bars...she came up to me in true Tiff fashion and said to me..how the hell are you doing that..yes even at 9 years old that girl had a mouth..well years and years later we were still twirling around bars..just a different sort..she had a hard life..not a balanced family at all and had to fight to survive even when we were kids and although she was tough as nails she was also a very sensitive soul...we spent everyday together until I went off to college (with a few fights in between) but we were stuck together..through parents divorces, through crazy men (our's and our mom's) and then we grew apart...she stayed in Hemet and got caught up even more so in drugs and alcohol and at 35 her liver failed her...I love her like the sister I never had...

I think about you all the time Tiff...

Breakfast...in Vegas

My hubby sent me pic's today of his Father's Day breakfast..whahoo..I am so glad it was a great experience for him. It is really difficult to be apart and little things make a difference. We have lived the double life of the film biz..LA V. Seattle for 4 years now..and although we are apart we are together more when he is home then when we lived in LA and Mads has a place to grow up in nature, good schools, and a home that is more than 800 square feet..although this one is in a constant state of remodel..and the yard needs to be mowed..it isn't as cramped and she can have a couple of forts outside..

I love you honey..can't wait to see you..the countdown to you being home is here! A few more weeks...

I decided to take a summer course at the Academy of Art in photography..today was my first day..do I have the time to do this..I am going to make time!

I will never give up working with my photog guru's but I needed to do something fun that doesn't involve fabric and I am hoping my mannequin shots are more creative and fun! Don't worry..I am not going to turn into a pro photographer..I love BGR too much..just figured it wouldn't hurt!!

I have a Kidsfaire update..probably tomorrow..mabe I will take a pic of Mona..crying from the stacks of clothes I cut this weekend!

That might be fun!

Shout Out..to Dana @ Planet Hollywood

I have to give a cyber hug to Dana B (room service supervisor) at Planet Hollywood in Vegas..you see she made it possible for me to order up my hubby a great breakfast at 2:15 am on Sunday morning..he had to get up way early to shoot on the strip..he is currently working on Witch Mountain and I wanted to do something special and man was she on her game. I know getting a random call from some girl in WA wanting to surprise her hubby at 2:15 am probably isn't the most uncommon thing in Vegas..but she made it fun and easy. I know my hubby loved it..he is still talking about it!

Gratitude

Is a feeling I have..I am grateful for so many things in my life..and today I recieved this note from a customer that I have sewn many a piece of clothing for and I am grateful for her for saying this to me..because honestly the last few months I have stuck my foot in my mouth..have questioned myself..have just felt crappy all around...it may have to do with the weather..or just who know's..I turned 36 and my hormones are going wonkey...life is topsy turvy..but this made my day...month and year..Thanks Gillian!

Sheila my darling......I am not even going to try to explain how thrilled I was with that box today, liked the contents too, hehe. But, I will say this....I LOVE the new tee style and what am I ever going to do when Katherine outgrows your clothing?! Thank you for making my daughter's outward appearence match her inner being...... Princess of fashion with a side of Diva. I hadn't even gotten part way thru the opening of the box before she was already tearing through and putting on the abstract floral sundress. She is off twirling in it now so hugs to you and yours....Gillian.
